Hey, everybody. Welcome, and thanks for joining us for another video on Keyword Research. In this video I'm going to share a tool with you that's going to help you to cut your keyword research time in half.
But first, what I want to do is review what we talked about in our previous video, just in case you happened to miss it. In our last video I showed you how to use the Google Suggestion tool to find long-tail keyword phrases, so that you can start adding those keywords to your master keywords list, which we started to build in our first vide where I showed you how to kick-start your keyword research using the Google Keyword Planner.
Let's review how to use the Google Suggestion tool again. To use this feature, all you need to do is to go to Google, and you start typing in your main keyword phrase in the search box, which for us was "content marketing". You're going to notice that Google is going to start giving you some suggestions.
For instance, for "content marketing", "Content Marketing Institute", "content marketing strategy", "content marketing world", "content marketing Atlanta" are all suggestions for the keyword "content marketing".
Now if you start to add the different letters of the alphabet after your main phrase, you're going to get a whole different set of keyword phrase suggestions. You can do this for each and every letter of the alphabet, you start to compile these keywords, and put them into your keyword list.
As you can imagine, if you had to do this manually, and add all these suggestions to your list by hand, it's going to take you a really long time. I want to show you a tool that's going to help you to speed up this process dramatically.
What I want you to do is to go on over to Ubersuggest.org. You're going to find an awesome tool that touts itself as "Suggest on Steroids". The reason it's given itself this name is because basically it automates the process of gathering all those Google suggestions for each letter of the alphabet into one list.
All you need to do to use this tool -- it's really easy to use -- is type in your keyword phrase here, "content marketing". You want to fill out the captcha, and then you want to hit "Suggest". It's going to come back with a bigger list of keyword phrases that are related to your main keyword phrase "content marketing".
Once you have this list, you can select all the keywords, or you can go through the keywords individually and start adding them to your list. Let's just click on "select all keywords", and you're going to notice that your keywords are added to the right here. Now, to copy this list, all you need to do is hit the "get" button, select all the keywords in the list, copy that list of keywords.
Now you want to add them to your master list. So we click in your master list, we add them in the second column, under "keyword". We then go through the list generated from Ubersuggest.org and add them to the appropriate topic bucket or ad group.
You'll notice that some of these keywords will be duplicates, but don't worry about that right now because when we get ready to take our master list and put it in to our keyword tracker tool, it's only going to add one occurrence of that keyword. So don't worry too much about that right now.
So that is how to cut the manual time it takes to do this using Google Suggest tool in half by using the Ubersuggest.
I hope you enjoyed the video. Stay tuned for more great videos on keyword research, and I'll see you next time. Cheers.
