We see it over and over, a site that has been around forever is getting top rankings. They have time on their side and that shows they are real to Google so they give these folks favor. But the big question of the day..."Is the site converting to leads and or customers?" Maybe? Would you rather be number one and convert one lead out of 50 site hits or number 10 and convert 2 leads out of 10 site hits. Ah that is a no brainer right? Why then are so many people obsessed with getting rankings and hits? You want your site to be balanced.

Meeting with business owners and talking about search SEO is necessary as that's what many are starting to understand. Yes, you need to do the SEO work in order for the Google crawlers to find your site. That is actually only 15-20% of the Google formula. Did you know that another part of what Google looks at is how long you are on the site? You see the Google formula is configured by some programmer geeks at Google and it does change often. The trend is to make the search as user friendly as possible. The site that has users staying on and engaging is a factor.
But I have top rankings now and I don't need any help is what this Internet Marketing Expert hears. Our question is "how is that working for you?" The answer is usually that they are not getting the conversions they desire or they are getting a ton of leads but the leads just are not relevelent to becoming clients.
Don't we all want a site that has rank and leads that convert?
